"God knows your value; He sees your potential. You may not understand everything you are going through right now. But hold your head up high, knowing that God is in control and he has a great plan and purpose for your life. He will never give up on you, so don’t give up on yourself." Joel Osteen

My husband, Chris, is the best thing that's ever happened to me. We've been married for three years and he still sweeps me off my feet. He's caring, smart and he loves to cook for me. He's a Godly person who loves me unconditionally and supports me without question. Our marriage is our greatest treasure however our inability to expand our family has become our biggest struggle. I want to make my husband a daddy and fulfill my deepest desire to become a mom. I truly believe God has already planned for that to happen. With a huge hole in our hearts, we'll turn to IVF late this year/early next year to help us achieve our dream. Everyone that knows Chris knows that what he does for our country is a complete sacrifice and incredibly honorable. He has just celebrated his 11year anniversary with U.S. Air Force, and I am proud to stand by his side and serve along with him. Together, Chris and I feel the fresh air of hope and peace in our lives and by creating our blog. This blog also offers possibilities for our friends and family to follow along with us on our journey to parenthood. It also offers knowledge and awareness to the community and an opportunity to 'meet up' with other families in our same situation. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and hopefully you'll feel inclined to share our story with others. We believe God has already started designing our child(ren). He already knows their name. We are grateful for all your prayers and thoughts of encouragement. We could not do this without you. Thank you.

"Autumn is a second Spring when every leaf is a flower." by Albert Grimes

This was taken of a miraculous sunset driving towards Walmart on Fairmount Avenue just day before the equinox. Isn't it something?! It was so blinding. The camera couldn't capture the extent of it's full beauty, but it almost looked heavenly blinding.

So as the sun sets on our summer season and we welcome fall. Fall is such an amazing season for so many reasons. Yesterday was the September Equinox, signifying the sun being in line with the equator. I find these days especially intriguing because the Spring Equinox and Fall Equinox are the only two days in the year when the sun rises directly in the east and sets directly in the west. So on two days of the year you can find the exact cardinal directions of East and West by using the sun. The ancients did this when they set up their calendars at Stonehenge and the Mayan pyramid, among others. Cool huh?

I've been photographing a lot of trees and leaves in their transition from green to apple, lemon, orange, raspberry and chocolate color. Every photographer has been captured by the colors of autumn leaves, but this was my morning and I felt this compulsion to shoot. I'll have more leaves photos up soon.

I also saw this Vera Bradly handbag ad for autumn handbags and I just had to cut and paste it for you to enjoy. So true, yes?

And everybody that knows me knows I'm mad about my country and western music, so I just had to share my boyfriend, Kenny Chesney's new song, The Boys of Fall. He is just an amazing singer and song writer. If you haven't heard the song or seen the video, have a listen. You'll like it. ha! Mom and I have seen a few little kids football games and the energy about little kid football just encompasses me. Something about the traditional football gear, to the stadium lights and little ones just running and diving for the ball. I guess it reminds me of a more innocent time that still exists when little ones play and enjoy the game of football. I was never into football when I was younger, but I hope to encourage our children to either play it or appreciate watching it. And the little cheerleaders are just too cute.

And the best part of the season is definitely the TURKEY, and giving thanks for everything that the good Lord has blessed us with all year long. Last year I was bed-ridden sick and my caretaker, Chris, cared for me plus cooked our Thanksgiving spread. So needless to say I was thankful for my health once I recovered, of course, my selfless Emeril-like husband and his mean kitchen skills. Hopefully we'll have friends over this year and be able to celebrate the true meaning of the day with dear ones.

Our spread 2009, thanks to Chris. I was not sick enough to enjoy a plate of that yummy goodness.

Chris, I'm sure, equates autumn-time with hunting. He talks about doing a lot of hunting as a child. He said he has fond memories of hunting with his grandfather and still dreams about the two of them hunting together from time to time.

And the event I'm looking most forward to in my near future is going to the....Busti Apple Festival with Mom. It may be a little hokey and something us small town folk enjoy, but it'll be fun to walk amongst all the arts and crafts and enjoy apples, apples, and more apples. I may even splurge and eat some good old fashioned home baked apple pie. And yes Chris, I will bring you home some homemade apple butter. I know that's your favorite.
